Trip Overview
Unfortunately this trip is no longer run commercially due to a dam that flooded half of the river’s raftable section and drained the other half. Although the river below the dam does still run it is sporadic and difficult to time. If your heart is set on this river contact us and we can discuss specific trip details.
This particular dam provides necessary electricity of the city of Kathmandu and surrounding areas. We would like to remind everyone that although dams have their negative impacts on the surrounding communities and environmental ecosystems the benefits outweighed the costs of this project and the impacts to both are not nearly as severe as other alternatives could have been.
