» Overview of Around Manaslu Trek

Welcome to ATH (Adventure Trans Himalayan Treks & Expedition Inc..)
Gorkha bazaar is the traditional starting point for around Manaslu trek. For this circuit, 22 days should be allowed. That gives 19 days for trekking, with one extra day for acclimatization, (rest) or in case of bad weather delays and 2 days for traveling. It's a beautiful counter-clockwise classic trek. This is a relatively easy trail, which links to the "Around Annapurna" trek at Dharapani. From Gorkha it drops either side, to the Daraundi Khola or Buri Gandaki. Following Northwest to Daraundi Khola and thereafter, the trail rises from this to the Barpak and Laprak villages, dropping to Burigandaki valley and joined normal trekking route at Khorlabensi, Or if your physical allowed you then you can continue up and cross the Rupinala Bhanjyang 4734 meters to join with normal trek route below Nyak village; which adds at least three more days and require some group equipment i.e. ropes and Ice-Axes a very good pair of boot. But we are following the traditional trekking route. This trek was officially opened to normal trekkers in 1991, but mountaineering expeditions have been long had access to the area. However, its still require special trekking permit, because in view of the close Tibetan border. This means that individual trekkers cannot trek this route individually, so single travelers need a formal trekking party, with a notional minimum of two peoples in a group. Alternative from Dharapani, you can continue up-into manang valley and cross the popular trekking pass, THORONG LA 5416 meters and end your trek at Jomsom and fly out, or continue for another week down into Kaligandaki valley via Gorepani then to Pokhara.
