» Overview of Kanchenjunga Trek

Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek
Reaching the Kangchenjunga Base Camps we are overwhelmed by the presence of soaring peaks-an attractive alternative to a trekking trip in the Annapurna or Everest region. Not long after start your trek up into the Tamur Valley the huge flanks of Kangchenjunga (8586 meters); the world's third highest mountain comes into view. Its huge scale set apart from other 8000 meters peaks ensured that for generations the Nepalese regarded Kangchenjunga as the highest mountain in the world. Whichever itinerary you select, a trek in this more isolated region of eastern Nepal is an ideal alternative to the more popular treks in the Annapurna and Everest regions.
