The Trip:
The far east of Nepal contains some of the most splendid examples of Himalayan wilderness; it's distance from the busy capital of Kathmandu and trunk routes are the regions greatest savior. Few trek here, let alone go climbing. Under the guidance of long time trekking and mountain guide Kumar Gurung and a strong high altitude support team, we are able to trek further and higher than virtually any other group of visitors to the area. Our foray beyond the Nango La will take us into some special alpine wilderness beneath the Sharphu group of peaks and we will gain expensive views westward. This serves as ideal preparation for an optional alpine climb of a small peak situated in the glaciated region around Lhonak. A challenging crossing to the southern side of · Kanchenjunga ' ensures the trip lives up to its name. Previous mountaineering experience is not necessarily requires but previous trekking experience and excellent fitness are essential pre-requisites to joining for this trip.

Please Note:
This is an exploratory climbing expedition led by a very experienced guide and crew. The route and schedule is very flexible by nature, depending very much on prevailing weather and snow conditions, the condition of the route and terrain, progress of the group and logistical factors. Whilst this clause applies to all of our adventure treks, it particularly applies to our exploratory expeditions. On many occasions we will be trekking off-trails and/or in difficult conditions, making for some long days. These periods may also be some of the most rewarding times of the expedition. Participants should be of excellent trekking fitness and prepared to be flexible in their approach to any delays or changes that may occur.
