the ambitious trekker intent on completing a traverse of the region. From Lukla you ascend to Namche Bazaar, before you continuing to Thyangboche monastery. You then divert up the Imja Khola and prepare for the traverse for your first challenging pass, the Kongma La 5300m. Reaching the moraine of the Khumbu Glacier you slowly ascend to the summit of Kala Patter and identify the classic climbing routes of the Mt. Everest . The trail west over Dzong La 5200m and then the Cho La 5420m leads to the high mountain pastures of Gokyo. From your magnificent camp of Gokyo you undertake the climb to Gokyo RI for spectacular views of Mt. Everest , Cho Oyu , Makalu and Lhotse. Exploratory trips take you higher towards Cho Oyu Base Camp for fine preparation of next stage of your trek. The special permit allows you just to cross the little trekked Renjo La 5345m. The pass affords fine views of the huge Ngozumba Glacier and the back wall of peaks that encircle the wild upper Bhote Kosi. Reaching the base beside Renjo Pokhari, you will explore the nearby peaks. These are non-technical routes but need capabilities of the fit and experienced of trekkers and a suitably challenging objective before returning via Thame, Namche and down to Lukla.
