A specially devised trek to the high yak pastures of Gokyo with impressive Panorama views of mountains. The Gokyo Lakes is at the head of the Dudh Kosi Valley provides a great alternative to the popular Classic Everest Base Camp trek.

It is a more tranquil trek that combines time in the Sherpa villages with a beautiful alpine camps and stunning views of the huge Mountain peaks including Makalu, Cho Oyu, Lhotse and Everest. From Lukla you trek to Namche Bazaar where you acclimatize and enjoy Sherpa-style hospitality, and then you ascend the Dudh Kosi Valley through conifer and rhododendron forests to yak headers' settlements amid rich grazing pastures, where there is no shortage of stunning campsites. You will camp close to the most impressive of the Lakes, the Dudh Pokhari, ringed by huge peaks and flanked by the Ngozumba Glacier, the largest Glacier of Nepal. From your camp you have ample opportunities to undertake day walks that include a climb to Gokyo RI 5360m where a complete panorama of the entire Everest Chain awaits you. You will gaze in awe at four of the world's highest peaks · Everest, Lhotse , Makalu , and Cho Oyu · a magnificent sight that cannot fail to inspire. Finally, you head down to Thyangboche Monastery and the famous Sherpa villages of the Khumbu region taking one last glimpse of Mt. Everest before descending to Lukla.
