From the spectacular Buddhist's oldest sect (Nyingma) monastery of Thyangboche, only the trip of the world's highest pillar ( Mt. Everest ) is visible, the rest of the mountains are hides behind the massive of Lhotse-Nuptse Wall. It is almost a calling to go higher, to follow trails past yak grazing pastures and serene glacial lakes and to wonder at the awesome terrain of 8000 meters peaks and glaciers including Lhotse 8511m, Makalu 8481m, Cho Oyu 8201m and Everest 8848 m. Now there is more to the region than massive peaks and huge tumbling glaciers. It is the home of the famous Sherpas whose fearless mountaineering exploits are world renowned. They are most hospitable people and they do ? n open invitation at their homes and villages to party on Sherpa style! The well devised itineraries include additional rest days allowing plenty of time for acclimatization.
