» Chhugema (Cho La Pass) Trek

Traverse from Gokyo RI to Kala Patter is the most impressive of Khumbu region. This trek is packed with incredible mountain views of the upper Khumbu Valleys . This three week, high altitude trek that includes the calm and peaceful of Gokyo Lakes, a climb to Gokyo Ri, and then traverse of the Cho La to Khumbu valley, then ascent of Kala Patter and time in well renown Sherpa's villages of the Khumbu region. You fly to Lukla, and steadily ascend to bustling Namche Bazaar where the famous peaks of the Khumbu unfold in front of you. You'll be possible to visit the homes of famous Sherpas before following the upper Dudh Kosi Valley to the alpine yak pastures of Gokyo. Camping beside the serene waters of the Dudh Pokhari, then prepare for your first challenging climb of Gokyo RI 5360m, to gain panoramic views of Cho Oyu , Makalu , Lhotse and Everest. Leaving Gokyo RI , you cross the rugged Cho La 5420m for unrivalled 360 degree views of innumerable peaks and glaciers, before traversing past Cholatse and Tawaste as you head towards Everest. From the summit of Kala Patter 5523m. Again you will see the wonderful view of Everest · more than 3000m above · and identify some of the climbing routes that have been followed to the world's highest pillar. You then descend VIA the monastery of Thyangboche and camp beneath Ama Dablam, Kantega and Thamserku · this indicates completion to this challenging circuit of Khumbu region.

Note: In winter some times departure may divert from the Cho La and contour Tawaste VIA furtse village, before ascending to the base of Mt. Everest if there are bad snow conditions.
